Actual integrates with modern financial and compliance systems so you can onboard quickly, and safely. Here's how to get started:
- In the Sidebar Menu, Click the Bank Account tab.
- Select "+ Bank Account"
- Choose your preferred account verification method:
- Micro-Deposits - Sends test transaction deposits to your desired financial institution. Once you receive those deposits, enter the amounts in the micro-deposit widget (in Actual) to verify your account. Mico-Deposits typically take between 2 to 4 days to appear in your account.
- Plaid - Instant Account Verification (see the flow below) allows you to connect your account right away, without delay. Contact Us if you have questions about integration with Plaid.
- Once you've connected your bank account, you'll be invited to complete a questionnaire to verify your identity (known as KYC). We partner with Stripe to manage this compliance verification.
After you've linked your bank account and completed the KYC verification, you're ready to get going with Actual!
